Office Closed

The office will be closed Monday, August 2 (everyone will be out of town or unavailable). Office hours Tuesday through Thursday will be from 9:00am to 1:00pm. We will be checking the answering machine regularly, so please leave a message if you need to get hold of someone and we’ll get back to you!

 

Retirement Celebration for Deacon Dutch

Our beloved deacon, Dutch Carlisle has announced her retirement, effective August 15. We will have a brunch to celebrate her ministry to All Saints’ after the 9:00am service on Sunday, August 15. This will be a potluck meal, so please bring lots of food! There will be entertainment and surprises galore, so don’t miss this bittersweet celebration.

 

Prayer Shawl Ministry

The July gathering for the Prayer Shawl Ministry will be Friday, July 30, from 9:30am to 11:30am at the Hardback Cafe inside Hastings Book Store on George Washington Way, in Richland. New members are always welcome.

 

Vacation Time

Joan Yetter will be on vacation July 30 – August 9. On Sunday, August 1 the Rev. Christianne McKee from Ellensburg will celebrate our 9:00am service. On August 8, we will hold Morning Prayer service. Theresa Grate will be on vacation July 28 – August 12. The office will be open regular hours.

 

Saints and Sinners

Saints and Sinners will meet on Friday, August 13, at the home of Ed and Joyce McClanahan, 108 Spring St., in Richland. The social hour begins at 6:00pm and dinner is at 7:00pm. Singles are asked to provide dessert or salad, and couples may bring a main dish or salad and dessert. Please bring silverware, plate, cup, and $2.00 for beverage. Please RSVP the McClanahans by August 11 at 375-0224.

 

Church Picnic

This year’s Annual All Saints’ Picnic will be Sunday, August 29. We will gather at South Leslie Groves Park, Shelter #1, located at the east end of Park St., in Richland. This will be Joan's last day at All Saints'.  The Eucharist service will begin at 10:15am, with the picnic following immediately afterwards. Unlike in years past, this will be the only service on August 29, so we hope everyone will come to the park. Since this is a potluck picnic, we ask that everyone bring a dish to share. Bring lots! Plates, silverware, and cold drinks will be provided.

 

Prayer Angels

The Prayer Angels ministry is experiencing growing pains. We desperately need to add more Prayer Angels. All that is required is to pray for a short list of people which are sent to you each month. This ministry only takes a few minutes a day and can be easily added to your own prayer life. Call Sindy Haffner, at 946-9245 if you have questions or want more information. You can also call the church office with your questions.

 

"Cooking with the Saints"

We are now taking pre-orders for our cookbook, “Cooking with the Saints.” The cost is only $12.50! Look for the gold order forms located in the Narthex, or call the church office at 943-1169. You can pay now or when the books are delivered, probably in early September. These will make great Christmas gifts, so plan to order plenty. Once our initial order is sold out, additional orders will cost more. Remember, all proceeds from the sale will go to replacing the front doors of the church.
